“Performance Power Moves” is a phrase I created to describe the actions Small Business Owners (and their teams) make to Simplify Small Business Success.

When Small Business Owners (SBOs) make their power moves, their performance gains traction in the areas of business which are high impact to delivering specific results.

Throughout any business day, SBOs are challenges with endless choices of what to work on. Yet realistically there are only a handful of activities to ultimately gain traction.

OK, I know you will want to resist this. However, I’ve studied and practiced management for 25 years and I assure you there’s only a handful of things to focus on day-in and day-out to make power moves that gain traction.

5 Performance Power Moves of Small Business:

  1. (Potential) Customer Attraction
  2. (Potential) Customer Engagement
  3. Customer Conversion
  4. (Actual) Customer Service
  5. Securing Customer Referrals

Isn’t it interesting how the word “customer” is in each of the Performance Power Moves? I think so!

I want you to think about everything you do in business. Everything ultimately falls into the 5 moves? Cool, isn’t it?

OK, let’s have you focus on how to get into Right Action instead of trying to shoot holes in something factual.

One of my head scratching moments:

For some reason there’s still many who are trying to make it all about social media and SEO. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a student and practitioner of social media and SEO. After all, how could my website be in the top 1/2 of the top 1% of all websites on the planet if I didn’t?

However, the only reason I learned how to do such activities is to attract, engage, and convert potential customers – while serving current customers.

Caution: SBOs remember WHY you’re placing everything on YOUR To-Do List.

Understanding YOUR Business’s Purpose and Business Vision will assist in selecting which Performance Power Moves you need to concentrate your efforts on for a specific time-frame.

The KEY: Always make everything about YOUR Customer!
