Coach Lombardi is still considered one of the most inspirational coaches of all times. He told the truth about the good, bad, and ugly of success and victory. He didn’t sugar coat anything. He was a man of integrity and commanded it from his players and organization. Mastering the game of winning was how Coach Lombardi raised a football organization to success, which we say is successful business performance.

Effective leaders are winners
Recently I spoke with a client who finally surrendered into being “made”. He didn’t like his struggle any longer. He and I have worked together for a while and he’d dabble with success. He thought it had to be done differently. What was amazing? He, like many others, chose to exhaust himself before surrendering.
Once he surrendered and decided to be coachable, everything began to change. Unfortunately this is too common.
… “They are made by hard effort, which is the price”…
Coach Lombardi really nailed it! The hard effort is the price for success. Over the years, I repeatedly see clients think it all has to be hard effort. Guess what? The hardest effort is working to surrender and learn a new way of being. Not the new way itself.
NOTE: Most aspects of business are simple.
You may need to learn some. You may need to do some activities you don’t like. Do them. Once you can, delegate or outsource them.
TIP: Successful performance of YOUR Business doesn’t have to be an ongoing battle on all fronts around the clock!
You just need to reach out for guidance from other who know what you don’t. Then apply their wisdom without fail.
