“Time is money” is a common quote or maxim, which is often attributed to Ben Franklin. Even though it isn’t confirmed this is Franklin’s quote, it is clear that he has expounded upon this at great length! We do know that time has a price tag attached to it. As I’ve shared a multitude of times throughout our 500+ posts, there is no such thing as time management. Time management is an illusion. The truth is we can not manage or control time.

Time is Money- so how are you spending your time?
If time is money, what are you up to? Do you spend your time wisely? Are you conducting activities which will gain you great dividends? Are you meandering aimlessly without direction? Are you not sure how to really invest your time appropriately?
I was with a new client yesterday who shared with me that he figured out he is not doing enough revenue generating activities. When I heard this my heart jumped and dropped almost simultaneously. Why? He isn’t alone! This is one of the great plagues of entrepreneurs that I routinely witness. It is a great truth and it also breaks my heart! Business is simple if you understand what to do and how to do it best for your particular business. If you figure this out and practice it, you become very prosperous! I know this first hand and I see it repeatedly happen with my clients.
With a couple of decades of assisting Business Leaders and their teams to improve business performance, I’ve seen people turn around their business’s profit margin because we switched up the “time is money” to “how much is your unfocused and misdirected time costing you?”
