Success Tip for Business Owners:
Immediately focus on self care

Self care of Business Owners is important for us to remember as a high priority. Why? If you aren’t at your optimum, how can you effectively support YOUR Business’s Success?

This week I had coffee with a gent who advises/coaches business owners too. He and I were discussing the importance of Business Owners taking better care of themselves. Too often they run themselves ragged. This is another subtle form of self-sabotage. Eventually they become ineffective to manage their business and serve their customers. Can you relate to this?

Is your ambition getting in the way of self care?

What takes priority for you? Is it your To-Do Lists or self care? For most people this is the balancing act that keeps them struggling. I do from time to time.

The Key to this Success Tip:
Assure your self care input equals your volume of output.

Do you need to create your own key of balancing input with output a personal mastery focus this year? It is for me! If you need to make sure you aren’t totally depleted once you complete a project, you may want to consider this for yourself.

Self care quote for Business Owners:

“Love yourself first, and everything else falls into line.
You really have to love yourself to
get anything done in this world.”
~Lucille Ball

Even with her childhood setbacks, our beloved Lucille Ball was a trailblazer in the entertainment industry and for women in business. I imagine she lived into extreme self care to keep her career and studio owner role at high performance levels for the phenomenal success she attained.

What do you to keep balance of self care and high performance? How do you know when you are out of balance? Please share in the comment section.

  1. In the morning and evening I read positive affirmations and books. I walk outside every day no matter how cold it is! I get a massage once a month. I make sure to have time to socialize with friends and time to just BE! This is just a small list of the things I do to make sure I take care of me!

    1. Great job Stacy! There’s a significant difference between being high performing and a work-aholic. You described the activities of high performer. Congrats for having control of your balance 🙂

  2. Love your list Stacy! Knowing I can get into the workaholic mode, I’ve learned to keep myself in check. Break away and walk around every hour or 2 & trying to shut it down by no later than 9 so I get a good nights rest
I do meditations, listen to relaxing music or subliminal music, walk (indoors right now), spend time with friends and meeting new people, and in summer I go off on my bike breathing in fresh air and sun. Soon I’ll visit my great nieces… kids make us laugh and bring priceless moments.
