Task Manager: Are you one?
Business Strategy & Tips
for next week!
“It seems essential, in relationships and all tasks, that we concentrate
only on what is most significant and important.”
~ Soren Kierkegaard
Your “Task Manager” Awareness:
This wisdom from the early 1800s is timeless gold to any task manager! As Business Leaders, that’s you 🙂 Too often it seems as if task managers either get too caught in the weeds of all the details or they move very swiftly thought the task lists and miss important details to guide them. What type of task manager are you? Business Strategy to optimize your leadership or business performance
Business Strategies for a successful Task Manager:
Just as Kierkegaard expresses, choose your tasks of focus wisely. We must remember that managers manage or control whatever it is they are to manage. Management should always begin with a self practice, which demonstrates effectiveness and inspires others. Remember: Be the best task manager you can be through words and deeds.
Inspiring Quotes to assist you as a Task Manager:
“One of the most important tasks of a manager is to eliminate his people’s excuses for failure.”
~ Pete Townsend
“Attempt easy tasks as if they were difficult, and difficult as if they were easy.”
~ Baltasar Gracian
“The task of the leader is to get his people from where they are to where they have not been.”
~ Henry Kissinger

This was important for me today. I did not write down all of my tasks on my calendar for today. So far, I have done tons of little things, but I have not really accomplished anything! I did not prioritize anything either. It was just a matter of finding what little things I did not do all week and get them done. Mentally I do feel better but I have nothing really to show for it, YET.
Thanks for sharing this… there’s nothing wrong with scheduling time to tend to all the little things. It’s actually a good practice to build in cushion throughout a day or week to do some “loose ends” activities! Matter in fact, when it was the last day of work prior to a holiday, that’s exactly what I did. Most of my clients weren’t avail, so I would clean up all the debris that was created throughout a week or two of high production. I liked doing this because of what you shared- the mental debris was cleared too! Enjoy your success and hit the ground running on the other end of the week! Glad to hear of your success!
Great reminder! My list of tasks continues to steadily fill these days!
Happy Labor Day!
