“Make appointments,” I’ve been told by clients “just seems so basic”. They think there is a trick to this action. They think there “must be some secret sauce on how to successfully make appointments”. Funny how disappointed they become when I share with them the value of simply picking up the phone. Once you begin dialing, it becomes much easier to make appointments!

If you are like most entrepreneurs, your answer is “no”. Now that’s the bad news. Ready for the good news? This truth can change with minimal effort!

You, and many others, can start generating revenue quickly by making appointments, one at a time, during the first month of the year. You will quickly identify who is “hot” in your marketplace and who is “not”. Then, start gravitating toward the “hots” and make appointments with them right away!

Call 12-15 people (potential customers) you’ve been wanting to make an appointment with. Wish them a happy new year and book a time with them before their calendar is filled again!

This is a great time of the year to make appointments! Everyone is still cheerful and optimistic from the Holidays. Typically everyone has been focused on the Holidays and haven’t been thinking of business. Their open calendars tend to validate this.

Even though the temperatures may be dipping, it’s the hot season to make appointments and change your success rate. WARNING: Don’t get caught in the illusory new year offerings to “kick off your year with this X program”. It will only distract you from the one thing which will immediately impact your success. Pick up the phone and make appointments now. Really, it works!

BONUS TIP: Call 10 former and/or current customers and ask them for referrals. Remember to request testimonials too!
