YOUR Business Rescue Coach asks:
How can you serve your customer better?
How can you help them make better decisions?
How can you minimize their stress?
Tom Asacker, a transformation genius, once said, “As leaders we need to forget real good and remember feel good.” This is powerful information for business owners and leaders. We, need to remember that our customers are being bombarded with hundreds of messages each and every day – and that each one of those messages wants a little piece of them whether it be their attention or money. So how can we help them?
What do they need help with? Ease of decision making and not feeling as if another person or business wants another piece of them. You might be asking, “But how do we do this?”
Treat every customer as if they are a whole person with feelings!
(Afterall, they are!)
Geez, customers are trying to make purchasing decisions all day long. Get this… Walgreens sells over 85 brands of shampoo! Shampoo folks, discerning through over 80 brands to just purchase a bottle of shampoo – isn’t that insane?!?!?
So, let’s see how this applies to you? All the best marketers in the world will tell you that people purchase when they f-e-e-l your product or service can provide them a solutions that satisfies them… not necessarily mentally satisfies them, but emotionally satisfies them. Yup, it’s all about feelings 🙂
So what if you are helping them identify what will help them f-e-e-l good? Research reveals that the essential difference between reason and emotion is that “reason”, or mental logic, brings forth conclusion and “emotion” brings forth action. Have you noticed how many commercials have begun to focus on the f-e-e-l-i-n-g of experiencing the product they are selling? Watch, and you will be amazed!
Help your customers, as Mac Anderson says, “. . . move beyond comparing and help them identify businesses that focus on caring.” If you do, and you are, they will become loyal customers for life! What a great reward for doing a great job 🙂
