Happy 10th Anniversary Brilliant Breakthroughs! 

 Milestones need to be celebrated!
Do you stop to celebrate milestones?
Are you acknowledging your progress?

Milestones… what are they? Why are they important? When is YOUR next milestone occurring? I just had a biggie last week: 10 years of Brilliant Breakthroughs, Inc. serving Business Leaders to optimize their

leadership and business performance. Yes, I’m one of those coaches who trail-blazed the industry 🙂

Wow, it’s been amazing! I’m so honored to be serving in this capacity and witnessing the ripple effect impact others in their workplace and marketplace. May we all continue to become Brilliant Business Leaders. I do know this to be one of the ways we can improve this world. Let’s see what we can do together!

What are Milestones?

Milestones are typically referenced as either (a) checkpoint to measure distance along a journey, or (b) important events in one’s history or career. Brilliant Breakthroughs’ 10 year anniversary is a combination of the two.

Milestones help us orient ourselves or the business. They reveal where we are – with the appropriate metric. If you are traveling, you may select some visuals (milestones) to assist you in assessing your progress. If you are working through a project your milestone may be when certain phases of it are completed. Promotions or new scopes of responsibility can be career milestones.

Stop and Celebrate YOUR Milestones!

I admit it, I haven’t been so good at this until the past couple of years. Everyone said to “do it”. I heard them. I even understood the importance of this. But did I do it? No. Absolutely not! Why? I’m not sure. All I know is that I didn’t. What changed? I believe it had to do with converting from a workaholic to a Harley Rider, who wanted much more time to play. “Playing” helped me find new ways of being, as well as noticing when it was time to celebrate something significant.

Not sure how to celebrate milestones?

Here’s the good news: it doesn’t matter how you celebrate! It could be having a nice dinner, buying a Harley, taking the afternoon off, creating a celebratory lunch for your internal/external team, etc. The choice is yours. Whatever brings you joy is what matters when you celebrate your milestones!!!

How did I celebrate this particular milestone of 10 years of business? I sat down and went into an outstanding contract with a new Website Architect and Social Media Master to boost my business’s capability and visibility! In approximately a month everything is going to look different and function different… including me 🙂  Wow, I really decided to comprehensively step-up and be the Brilliant Business Leader I speak of often. My little girl (my business) is ten now. I want to make sure I’m giving her everything she needs as we are moving and grooving into those teen years!

Are you acknowledging your own progress?

What is your next success or milestone? When are you anticipating it occurring? Don’t hesitate celebrating your milestone! If you are a Business Leader with a team, ask them how they would like to celebrate. It will be a great morale booster! If you are a Solo Business Leader, think how you can make your key customers and suppliers feel important assisting you in your accomplishments. Consider sending them a thank you card or gift. Perhaps even have an annual appreciation event might be appropriate. Have fun with it! Come on join me – I double-dog dare you 🙂
