Visualization provides your business guidance

Visualization Provides YOUR Business Guidance:

Do you know your business’s vision for 2012?
Are you able to share your vision with staff and potential investors?
Do your customers and suppliers know and support your vision for your business?

Visualization providing YOUR Business Guidance is a fact!

Yet, these are BIG questions, aren’t they? Yet, these are very important questions for you as a Business Owner or Business Leader. Why? How can anyone follow you or support your business if they don’t have a clue what you are trying to create? Visualization matters!

It’s time to roll up you sleeves and realize that you, yes you, may be the one holding your success back from becoming a living reality! Don’t be so shocked, we have spoke about this before… If you don’t have a clear vision regarding where you would like your business to be by the end of this year, next year, and in 5 – 10 years, how can you possibly express that to others so they can understand and support you in your vision?

Well, the not so surprising news is that they can’t do this if you don’t first!  That’s right, this is the adult version of the childhood game “Follow the Leader”. Typically Business Leaders feel alone. That’s because they try to do everything alone – lack of communication is the primary reason for alone-ness in leadership.

So let “see” if you can follow the best of the best Business Leaders. Studies of the most successful CEOs reveal they have one common thread in what they do daily. Just one common thread and they each proclaim it is their secret to their success:

Each day, with no interruptions, the best CEOs envision their company’s success
for at least 20 minutes. The daily insights they gain in those 20 minutes
guide them in all their decision- making.

Brilliant Breakthroughs Inc.’s Tips for YOUR Envisioning/Visualization Practice:

1. Take at least 10 minutes everyday, if not 20,  in a private and quiet place to be with your thoughts and visions. Then ask yourself, “What would I like my business to look like by the end of this year? Who are the players and what are they accomplishing? How would we feel? What benefit would this offer the business? How would our customers benefit from this new vision? How would my life change if we accomplished this?

2. Now, sit down and write this out. This is the crucial step in visualization’s effectiveness. If you get stuck right here, watch the movie Jerry Maquire with Tom Cruise. You will get what I am suggesting regarding visualization and recording what you envision. Yours doesn’t need to be nearly as long as his, but it does need to convey how you would like everything to look if you could have your cake and eat it too!

3. Share this first with your mentor. Listen to their feedback. Then revamp it.  Repeat this step with your top employee.

4. Once it is ready, share this with your staff, customers, and vendors. Also place it on your website so others can see the game you are playing. If they support it, they will back you!

Please feel free to comment or share your visualization technique.
