YOUR BUSINESS RESCUE COACH ASKS YOU:
Do you know where your customers are hanging out?
Do you show up where your customers are?
Since it is Christmas Eve, I share Merry Christmas to you!
an encore of a blog topic which is highly impactful this time of year 🙂
I was just speaking with a client who is now ready to start marketing her business. That’s a BIG yay for her as a great deal of work went into all the preparation to get her to this point (as it does with every business). A little while back she asked, “How do I attract my Ideal Customer?”, which took us to a brief conversation of how to powerfully enter her marketplace and being ready to receive potential customers.
One of the things she still needed to put into place was her website…which took us down the road to a logo, developing all sorts of wonderful copy, and layout design for the site and finding someone to do the site. Yay, this is almost complete now…and then we came back to the questions about attracting ideal customers 🙂
I shared with her the somewhat new and wonderful little website: MeetUp.com that would be most helpful to her, as she was targeting small to medium business owners! This approach of going to where your “peeps” are hanging out is nothing new. History shows us that Jesus went to where his peeps were, as did Martin Luther King. Don’t you think each one of them created some buzz for their movement? So why wouldn’t this concept work for you? It will – let’s get you started!
YOUR Business Rescue Coach Business Strategy
for Ideal Customer Attraction via MeetUp.com
- Go to MeetUp.com
- Create a profile to include some of your personal interests
- Consider YOUR Ideal Customer: make a list of what type of topics and venues would attract them
- Add these to your profile
- Start reviewing which meetups you would be genuinely interested in showing up at and do so!
- Repeat (when it’s a good fit for you personally or professionally)
- Consistently show up when you find a meetup that is a good fit and you enjoy being there 🙂
YOUR PRESENCE SUCCESS TIP
Don’t go to “sell”. Simply go to meet people and introduce yourself to them. Sharing “what you are up to” will serve you and your business much better than you trying to prematurely sell yourself, especially when you are in the initial stages of building rapport with others.
Questions, comments? I’m game 🙂
