Business Strategy: When to say YES or NO!

YOUR BUSINESS RESCUE COACH ASKS YOU:
Do you know when to say “Yes” or “No”?
Do you know when to dive into something or take a pass?
What strategy do you have in place to rescue yourself?

As I shared with you last week, I had been taken to my maximum output level… and eventually, I had mini-meltdown. The rest of the story is like this… When I was done with my commitments on Friday afternoon I vowed that I wouldn’t do anything for work (or look at my phone and be tempted to walk into the  office) for a full 48 hours. Want to guess what I did?

I honored what I knew I really needed. I jumped off the world and it was delightful:) Then, when I came back to the office I was refreshed and actually wanted to do all the things to prepare for Sunday’s client calls – it was great!

What I hadn’t realized was that I was amidst the “Law of Diminishing Returns” or another way of saying it was that I was immersed too long in something that I just was no longer being effective or efficient. But it wasn’t until my mini-meltdown that I realized what was occurring! More importantly this Law doesn’t discriminate it if is something you love and enjoy or something you don’t care for and loath… it simply is a Universal Law.

Remembering this Law allowed me to focus on restoring the balance of my schedule, which was out of control for a full two weeks there! I am so grateful to re-learn a very valuable lesson from all this- BALANCE IS THE KEY. Yep, I got caught in being the nice guy and saying YES to all in need, while I was aching for some relief too!

I’m grateful that I didn’t waver the least tiny little bit on my daily physical workout (workout and conscious eating), my spiritual practice (prayers and meditation)  and my envisioning/intention-setting practice. This routine allowed me to perform at “miraculous output levels” throughout this past month 🙂

Your Business Rescue Coach Asks YOU:

  • What do you need rescuing from?
  • Do you have a daily restoration practice in place (similar to the one I shared)?
  • What can you do when you reach your saturation point? Make a plan right now! (Mine is “jump off the world”.)

If you or your business needs rescuing on this particular topic
or any other Business Strategies we have been discussing,
