Business Strategy: Business Plan (Part 3)

YOUR BUSINESS RESCUE COACH ASKS YOU:
Is your Business Plan an updated plan?
Are you living your Business Plan?

Are your best business strategies letting you down? Continuing from last week’s post, Business Plan (Part2), you were to take a look at your Business Plan (or your PVM if you are one of my clients). Hopefully you have reacquainted yourself with this wonderful vision and research you did once upon a time 🙂

Now that you are looking at it, are you remembering or reconnecting with all the wisdom and enthusiasm? Finding any tidbits which can support you right now? What if things are different? That’s why it is called a Business PLAN, and not a contract. Plans may adapt to better suit circumstances!

You  may have found some things that have changed and are  no longer relevant – delete them from your Business Plan. You may have new guidance and actions which have taken you in a different and more prosperous direction – add them. Yes, I am saying edit your Business Plan or PVM to reflect what is your reality this year. You have more wisdom from another year of experience, don’t you think it would be great to have this reflected in your Business Plan and allow it to guide your strategies, decision making, and tactical moves to achieve even greater success?

Your Business Plan should be a “living document”, which means, it needs to be edited to be your map to your destiny. If you do this well, it will steer you away from harm and re-orient you toward grace-filled prosperity. Take the time to edit it soon – ideally before the year is over, unless you are a retail business. Then refer to it as you set your quarterly plans for this coming year.  And, please remember, keep it within arms reach so you refer to it regularly 🙂

Note: I suggest you edit your Business Plan when you have a major shift in your business or once a year.

THANKS FOR ALLOWING ME TO HELP YOU IMPROVE YOUR BUSINESS 🙂

  1. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told project team members in corp. world –the plan is a living document! Not something written in stone! (which is what they interpret this as–and it shouldn’t be!!). Thanks again Maggie for pointing important aspect out!
