Does YOUR Business Get Its Needs Met From You?
Lately I have been hearing people say that they need to spend more time developing their business. Could this be you? Is your business calling out to you like a little child who repeatedly says, “mom, mom, … or … dad, dad…?” Most businesses do, but we just sorta tune them out – just like pop-up ads on websites 🙂
It’s the day before a long Holiday weekend in the United States of America. A holiday celebrating giving thanks for all our bounty and relationships. Sorta sounds like all businesses should be sending out Giving Thanks cards to all their customers, doesn’t it?
Now, that we have your staff on vacation and you have given thanks to your customers, how about giving thanks to your business? Just stick with me for a moment!
How can you possibly give thanks to your business?
This isn’t as complex as it may sound. Just pull out your “To Do” List for beginners. Take a look at it. Is this what your business really needs to continue successfully? Is this all it needs? What are you missing? Add it to the list and then put it down.
Dream, d-r-e-a-m B-I-G! What is your business’s fantasy? What could you do to “WOW” your customers? What could you do to “Wow” your sales? What could you do that would “WOW” you?What completion deadline does it require to do well?
Write out everything necessary to bring Step Two into reality for your business.
Pick up your list from Step One and Step Three. Compare the lists. Do you have any duplication or are they totally unrelated?
Create a new priority list with two categories: (1) IMMEDIATE NEEDS, and (2) TOTALLY AWESOME. Immediate Needs will include everything the business needs to function well. Totally Awesome will include everything necessary to make your Totally Awesome Business Fantasy come to life!
Isn’t it amazing how easy it can be to create a new reality for your business? Of course, now that you have a new vision, you need right actions to make your business’s new vision come to life 🙂 Remember, most dreams aren’t accomplished overnight- take the time, stay focused, take appropriate actions each day to make your business’s new vision it’s new reality in 2012!
