Have you ever wondered what you should be focusing on? What a brilliant Business Strategist might say to you to help you with your business strategies for growth and prosperity? Well, the good news is you don’t have to wait any longer, how about 2 brilliant strategists to help you?!?
Every Friday, now my non-Twitter followers can have the same competitive advantage, even without tweeting capabilities 🙂 Each Friday I share with you my list of 10 tweets for the following week (5 from the “Grandfather of Modern Business”, Peter F. Drucker, and 5 from me as Lunchtime Business Strategies) to help you with practical and tactical topics to ponder and take action on for greater successes. I suggest you print out the list 🙂
Top 10 Business Strategies to Ponder & Act Upon:
MONDAY
Peter Drucker: Hiring managers must accept full responsibility for good hires, as well as failed hires.
Lunchtime Business Strategy: Do you have a realistic and actual job description for the position you are hiring? If not, do this first before you interview.
TUESDAY
Peter Drucker: Remember, poor performance of a hire is the result of not placing them into the correct position – move them to a better suited position if possible.
Lunchtime Business Strategy: When you assess what is needed, make sure you look at what the new hire will actually be doing- make that your job description.
WEDNESDAY
Peter Drucker: Hiring managers are responsible for removing failed hires as quickly as possible so they don’t demoralize the whole organization.
Lunchtime Business Strategy: Usually you know within 30 days or less if you hired the right person. If doubting your hire, have a sit-down with them immediately.
THURSDAY
Peter Drucker: Make decisions of people your top priority. Spend less time on the decisions so you don’t have to “repent at leisure”.
Lunchtime Business Strategy: The more time spent on correct job descriptions and good interviewing – the less time you will spend cleaning up after a bad hiring choice.
FRIDAY
Peter Drucker: Promotions affirm what is most important to a business’s vision and goals.
Lunchtime Business Strategy: When promoting, remember you are sending a signal out to everyone what you value most. Are you promoting most effectively?
